IPL Skin Rejuvenation
Restore a Brighter, Clearer & More Youthful Complexion
Healthy skin naturally reflects light, giving it a smooth, radiant appearance. However, years of sun exposure, aging, environmental pollution, and hormonal changes can lead to pigmentation, redness, uneven skin tone, enlarged pores, and fine lines. IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) Skin Rejuvenation is a non-invasive treatment that targets these concerns while stimulating your skin’s natural collagen production for healthier, younger-looking skin.
At VivaDerm Aesthetic Clinic, we perform IPL Skin Rejuvenation using the SharpLight DPC™ system, an advanced IPL technology that delivers precise pulses of light with enhanced safety, comfort, and effectiveness.
What is IPL Skin Rejuvenation?
IPL (Intense Pulsed Light), also known as a photofacial, is a light-based skin rejuvenation treatment that uses multiple wavelengths of light to improve skin tone, texture, and overall skin health.
Unlike lasers, which emit a single wavelength, IPL delivers broad-spectrum light that can simultaneously target pigmentation, redness, and visible signs of aging. The treatment also stimulates collagen and elastin production, helping to restore smoother, firmer, and more youthful-looking skin over time.
IPL is one of the most effective non-invasive treatments for improving overall skin quality with minimal downtime.
How Does IPL Work?
IPL works by delivering carefully controlled pulses of light energy into the skin.
Different structures within the skin absorb different wavelengths of light:
Melanin absorbs the light energy to treat pigmentation such as sunspots, freckles, and age spots.
Hemoglobin within blood vessels absorbs the light to reduce redness, broken capillaries, and vascular lesions.
The controlled heat generated within the deeper dermis stimulates fibroblasts to produce new collagen and elastin.
Over the following weeks, your body naturally removes damaged pigment while new collagen remodels the skin, resulting in a brighter, smoother, firmer complexion.

Frequently Asked Questions
No. IPL uses broad-spectrum light, while lasers use a single wavelength. This allows IPL to treat multiple skin concerns—such as pigmentation, redness, and overall skin rejuvenation—in the same session.
Most clients find the treatment very tolerable. You may feel a brief warm snapping sensation with each pulse of light, but the integrated cooling system helps keep the treatment comfortable.
Downtime is minimal. Mild redness may last a few hours, while pigmented spots can temporarily darken before naturally flaking away over the next one to two weeks.
Yes. The heat generated in the deeper layers of the skin stimulates fibroblasts to produce new collagen and elastin, helping improve firmness, texture, and fine lines over time.
With proper skincare and sun protection, results can last for many months. Maintenance treatments every 6–12 months are recommended to keep your skin looking its best.
